Senior Manager - Cost Controller (Johor)

About our Client
This is a company in the Food Manufacturing industry and pride themselves on being a leader in the manufacturing and supply of high-quality food products that cater to diverse industries. They are seeking for an experienced and strategic Senior Cost Controller to join our reputable team.

Your Role

1. Product Costing - Manage the complete product costing lifecycle, including raw material pricing, plant conversion costs, and final product allocation. Validate standard costs across all phases and conduct detailed variance analysis to ascertain improvement areas.
2. System Configuration - Oversee the configuration and maintenance of costing modules within ERP systems (preferably SAP) to ensure data integrity across various domains.
3. Detailed Product Valuation - Establish costing logic for co-products and by-products within the various processes while aligning methodologies with operational realities.
4. Material Balance & Yield Tracking - Develop and implement systems for measuring material mass balance and yield accuracy across production stages, collaborating closely with plant teams to mitigate losses.
5. BOM - Review and refine Bills of Materials (BOMs) to align commercial recipes with plant operations while aiding R&D and production teams in formulating cost-efficient operations.
6. Manufacturing Plants Cost Oversight - Lead costing activities across various manufacturing sites, tracking inter-plant costs and consolidating performance metrics for senior leadership reporting.
7. Others - Create insightful dashboards and performance reports to support product pricing, margin analysis, and development of costing models for informed strategic decision.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in commerce finance, cost accounting, or a related discipline
• CMA/CIMA/ICAEW/CPA/ACCA certification, or an MBA in Finance or Operations is advantageous
• At least 15 years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years in process-based manufacturing, particularly in the food manufacturing industry
• Deep expertise in product costing, conversion cost tracking, and detailed evaluation of products
• Proficient in ERP systems, particularly SAP, with hands-on experience in costing module configurations and system implementation
• Experience in managing multi-plant costing environments and inter-plant processes
• Strong analytical and advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in Power BI or analogous reporting tools highly regarded
• Excellent business acumen and strong collaboration skills to foster cross-functional partnerships, with a steadfast commitment to cost leadership and process optimization
