Senior Manager, Corporate Planning, Strategy & Research

About our Client
Our client is in the Energy and Oil & Gas industry based in Kuala Lumpur. Aside from providing their customer base with its market-leading products, they also provide end-to-end support in the form of transportation solutions to them. They are currently looking for a Senior Manager level candidate to manage Strategy and Research in their Corporate Planning team.

Responsibilities
This is a senior and key position that will be managing a lean team and report to the Head of Strategy and Corporate Planning. You will take charge of strategic planning and spearhead various researches such as detailed analysis of market trends, competitor and dynamics of the market conditions. In developing strategies and corporate objectives, you will also oversee the implementation for projects related to corporate planning and performance and ensure that every department work towards meeting the organisation's goals. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the strategy is aligned across all business units and divisions. This position is also tasked with supporting senior management in making an informed decision on various strategic matters which covers not just market insights but also risk and proactive research of new ideas in the market. You will be expected to conduct presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Required
This role would require applications to have at least 12 years experience in a similar role within Corporate Planning and Research. You will also ideally have at least a Degree in Business Finance/Accounting/Business Management or qualifications like MBA and strong business acumen with an inquisitive mindset. Candidates with a background in consulting for or actual working experience in the Energy/Oil & Gas/Transportation/Maritime industry highly preferred. It is also crucial to have good communication skill, presentation skill, strong people skill and exposure working with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced culture.
