Senior HR Generalist
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities including job postings, screening, interviewing, and coordination with hiring managers
- Facilitate onboarding processes to ensure a positive new hire experience
2. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns
- Support initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention
3. HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
- Administer HR systems (e.g., leave management, performance tracking) and ensure data accuracy
4. Performance Management
- Assist in implementing performance management cycles, including goal-setting, mid-year and year-end reviews
- Support managers and employees in understanding performance expectations and feedback processes
5. Compensation & Benefits
- Coordinate payroll input and liaise with payroll vendors
- Administer employee benefits and support annual compensation review exercises
6. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and assist in coordinating learning programs
- Maintain records of training attendance and feedback
7. Compliance & Policy Development
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and internal HR policies
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and communicating HR policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a fast-paced or SME environment
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
