About the role
Our client, a global leader in civil engineering and infrastructure solutions, is seeking a motivated and technically capable Sales Engineer to be based in Sabah. This role will cover the full product portfolio, with a focus on developing new business opportunities and supporting clients across the construction and infrastructure sectors. The position is well-suited to candidates with a background in civil engineering who are looking to combine technical knowledge with sales and business development expertise.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive business development and sales across the company's full range of civil engineering products and solutions.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities with contractors, consultants, developers, and government agencies.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to clients, including product presentations, solution proposals, and design discussions.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements and specifications.
  • Monitor market trends, project pipelines, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and project updates for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or project sales, ideally within construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong technical foundation with the ability to translate engineering requirements into tailored solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently in a regional role.
  • Based in Sabah, with willingness to travel within the region as required.
