About Our Client

This is a multinational corporation in the Building, Engineering and Construction industry based in Selangor with a strong presence in SEA. With a solid expansion plan in place, they are on track to continue to develop their branding and replicate the success of their other businesses in this market. They are currently looking for a Regional Financial Controller to join their esteemed team.

Your Role

Are you a strategic financial leader eager to make a significant impact on business success? In the role of Regional Financial Controller, you will be a vital partner and advisor to the Managing Director and leadership team, guiding financial operations across the region. You'll have the opportunity to align financial planning and analysis with commercial goals while ensuring effective reporting and control measures are in place. This position transcends traditional financial roles, as you will spearhead initiatives that support strategic objectives and enhance overall performance. As this is a key position, you will play a crucial role in streamlining initiatives for the countries under your portfolio both operationally and strategically.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; an MBA or relevant financial certification is advantageous.

  • At least 10 years of experience in financial management roles, ideally within a multinational environment.

  • Extensive experience in FP&A and strong capability to develop and execute financial strategies in alignment with organizational goals

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, facilitating cross-team collaboration

  • Thorough understanding of treasury management, tax compliance, and financial controls

  • Advantageous to have experience with project costing and inventory management. Familiarity with compliance and risk management processes. Knowledge of cash management and foreign exchange (FX) strategies

  • The ideal candidate should be willing to travel as necessary to oversee regional financial operations

  • A track record of leading cross-functional financial initiatives
