HR Manager (Retail)

Job description

Our client is a multinational restaurant group. They are looking for a HR generalist that will manage the employee lifecycle of several stores, with a headcount less than 70 employees.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Advocates on behalf of staff - solicits and listens to staff's concerns, facilitates their access to information and solutions on all human resources programs and policies, government laws and acts.
    Initiates and lead engagement and communication best practices that support the company's human resources strategic plans, with view of building and sustaining a motivating environment, a great place to work and excel.
  • Advises and manages on talent acquisition approaches and tasks such as:
    - Manage the full recruitment life cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and selection.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure smooth onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Advise the partners regarding market and employee insights follow-up, oversee performance and developmental processes, manage partner relations, and implement recognition initiatives.
  • Reviews, research and support in setting up the human resources services, staying responsive and maintaining our competitive edge as employer of choice.
  • Develops and coaches organizational and immediate team's capability in business partnering balancing efficiency, partner experience and organization effectiveness.
  • Works cross functionally to build up training processes and programmes.
  • Manages employee grievances when they arise.
  • Manages the monthly payroll processes, ensuring continuous improvement to the employee pay processes.
  • Support or co-build an effective HR administration processes and resources, benefiting both partner resource team and stakeholders.
  • Engages with cross departments stakeholders, within partners resource team, and with regional specialists to roll out any new initiatives or changes to programmes and policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in human resources.
  • 8 years of HR experience, including talent acquisition, employee relations, payroll, performance, and compensation, with 4 years as an advancing HR generalist and 4 years supervising/mentoring HR partners.
  • Proficient in driving, leading, and collaborating with cross-functional teams within the department, with a track record of successfully managing projects and programs.
  • Proficiency in effective written, verbal, and visual communication
  • Strong organizational skills, with knowledge of industry-based employee engagement methods, employment laws and company policies.
  • Proficient in understanding diverse functional needs, with a strong business acumen, a deep commitment to confidentiality and adherence to HR ethics.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and needs.
