About the role
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the building materials and construction solutions industry, is seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Building Solutions to lead the company's commercial and strategic growth initiatives. This role oversees the full range of building solution products and systems, driving business performance, market expansion, and innovation. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, and position the company as a preferred partner in sustainable and high-performance building solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the Building Solutions division, driving growth and profitability.

  • Lead and manage the sales, marketing, and technical teams to deliver performance aligned with company objectives.

  • Identify new market opportunities, applications, and customer segments to expand the business footprint.

  • Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including developers, architects, contractors, and government bodies.

  • Oversee product development initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in the product portfolio.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, and operations teams to ensure product quality and alignment with market requirements.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor movements, and regulatory changes to maintain a strong market position.

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and key performance metrics for the division.

  • Represent the company in industry associations, trade shows, and stakeholder engagements to enhance brand visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or Construction Management; an MBA is an added advantage.

  • Minimum 10-12 years' experience in the building materials or construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or business head role.

  • Proven track record in driving sales growth, managing P&L, and leading multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational execution.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Deep understanding of the construction ecosystem, including developers, consultants, and contractors.

  • Innovative, performance-driven, and capable of leading transformation and change initiatives.
