About the role
Our client, a global leader in security and access solutions, is seeking an accomplished Head of Project Sales to lead their commercial and industrial sales division. This is a senior leadership role covering the company's entire product portfolio, focusing on project-based sales across the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key client relationships, and leading a high-performing team to deliver results.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the project sales team in driving growth across commercial and industrial segments, covering the full product range.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to secure specifications and win large-scale projects.

  • Manage and mentor a team of at least 3 sales professionals, ensuring alignment with business objectives and individual development.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, architects, and key decision-makers.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, technical, operations) to deliver end-to-end solutions tailored to client needs.

  • Monitor market trends, project pipelines, and competitor activities to anticipate opportunities and risks.

  • Oversee tender processes, proposals, and contract negotiations for key projects.

  • Report on sales performance, forecasts, and market insights to senior management.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years' proven experience in project sales within the building materials, construction, or related product industries.

  • Strong leadership track record, with experience managing and developing a team of 3 or more sales professionals.

  • Established network within consultants, contractors, and developers is highly advantageous.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a proven ability to close large-scale project deals.

  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic, project-based environment.
