Head of HR
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute HR strategies that support business goals and long-term growth
Set up HR policies, systems, and processes across recruitment, performance management, compensation, learning & development, and employee relations
Build and lead the recruitment and onboarding of key talent across departments
Ensure legal compliance with Malaysian labor laws and HR best practices
Establish and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture
Advise senior leadership on organizational development, workforce planning, and employee engagement
Drive initiatives for talent development, retention, and succession planning
Manage HR budgets and vendors (e.g., payroll services, benefits providers)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification is an advantage
Minimum 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, HR best practices, and organizational development
Experience setting up HR functions in a start-up or new company environment is highly desirable
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
