Financial Controller in Perak (Manufacturing)

About the Company
This is a key player in the Manufacturing industry in Malaysia with manufacturing operations in Klang Valley and Perak. They are well-known and has been established in the market for decades. There has been some expansion plans in place which has opened up the position of a Financial Controller to be based in Perak.

Your Responsibilities
In your role as a Financial Controller, you will:

  • Report to the CFO and support on providing executive management such as advice on the financial implications to the company
  • Ensure that the day-to-day Finance Operations is running smoothly while providing leadership to the Finance department
  • Providing timely management reports, analysis of financial performance, budgets and forecasts
  • Drive changes and spearhead process improvement and efficiency plans
  • Liaise with stakeholders at the Group level in the absence of the CFO
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax, and other regulators
  • Streamline and cascade plans from HQ whilst ensuring constant progress monitoring

Skills and Experience Required
To adapt and do well in this role, you will need 12-15 years experience in a relevant role within Finance & Accounting and at least 5 years experience in the Manufacturing industry. You will also need at least a Degree in Finance & Accounting and MIA membership or professional accounting qualification such as ICAEW, ACCA or CPA. Candidates with strong technical reporting skills and solid understanding of plant finance are highly encouraged to apply.
