About our client

This company is a multinational corporation in the Life Science industry with presence in more than 30 countries globally. They have been established for many years and is a market leader in this segment, continuously gaining market share over its competitors. They are currently looking for a Corporate Controller to join their team to manage reporting to the regional team.

Job responsibilities

This Controller position will play a business partnering role to the local team in Malaysia and the GBS/SSC team on Financial Accounting and Reporting matters. You will be a part of the Controllership team for APAC and ensure statutory and regulatory reporting compliance is met in accordance to the reporting framework of the company. This position will also handle some matters related to tax, treasury and transfer pricing. You will be involved in projects on process improvement, automation and streamlining to improve efficiency in the accounting and reporting processes.

Skills & experience required:

To succeed in this role, you will need at least 10 years experience in Finance and Accounting and at least a relevant degree or professional qualification. You will also need some experience working in a MNC environment and exposure working with SSC/GBS. Applicants would need to be self-starters with good interpersonal and communication skill. SAP system and US GAAP knowledge and experience advantageous.
