Vice President, Cash Management Sales

About the Role:

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Lead the expansion of cash management revenues in Malaysia across diverse client segments.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide support for the client franchise's growth by leveraging technical expertise and structuring capabilities in cash management opportunities.

  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with Coverage, Regional Cash Management, and Liquidity Management teams to originate new transactions and manage existing portfolios.

Role Requirements:

Commercial Performance:

  • Achieve new client acquisition, sales targets, and relevant KPIs defined with the Transaction Banking Head.

  • Develop and implement a commercial strategy in consultation with Coverage and Product Specialists.

  • Build a robust pipeline of deals and revenue streams.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to devise client-centric solutions and ensure timely deal submissions.

  • Assist the product team in identifying and developing contemporary cash management products.

Marketing Performance:

  • Manage the preparation of client proposals and pitches.

  • Coordinate with the regional team for participation in RFPs, enhancing local efforts in Malaysia.

  • Review and improve pitching marketing materials regularly.

  • Elevate internal and external awareness of the franchise through marketing initiatives and external events.

Risk and Portfolio Management:

  • Conduct periodic reviews of volumes, account behaviors, cross-sell, and deep-sell strategies to maintain portfolio quality.

  • Monitor sight deposits and transaction volumes, adjusting commercial actions as needed.

  • Ensure vigilant monitoring and control of operational risks inherent in cash management business.

Competencies:

  • Understanding of cash management products and services.

  • Familiarity with common customer requirements in the cash management domain.

  • Awareness of banking laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Reasonable ability to analyze financial statements.

  • Passion for success in a sales environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer management skills.

  • Self-driven and results-oriented.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Effective presentation and written communication skills.

Specific Qualifications:

  • Degree holder.

  • Postgraduate in Management from a premier institution (preferred).

  • Relevant experience in cash management or related financial products/services.

  • Knowledge of cash management products.
