Threat Response Specialist

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify potential threats, suspicious activity and malware by analysing dashboards, alerts and reports.
  • Collaborate with Secuirty Operations to create new detection rules at security controls from newly observed TPPs
  • Escalate incidents to Cyber Incident Remediation for potential cyber threats within the organisation
  • Evaluate alerts from security monitoring tools, conduct triage to determine scope of threats
  • Spearhead annual cybersecurity compliance initiatives such as Cyber Drills, Tabletop Exercises and Wargames, alongside use cases review on security controls.
  • Delivery technical Tier 2 and Tier 3 support as required to various stakeholders
  • Oversee various POC implementation for threat hunting and intelligence platforms

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, IT or Cyber-Security related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years working experience in IT security or related field
  • At least 3 years experience in any of the following roles - SOC Analyst, Cyber Threat Hunter, Cyber Crime investigations, Cyber Threat Analysis, Cyber Threat Campaign Tracking
  • Good understanding in computer intrusions, malicious code, cyberfraud and other criminal activity
  • Good understanding in client enterprise operational security methods and Information Security best practices
  • Basic understanding and experience with programming or scripting languages like C/C++, Java, Python, Go
