Territory Sales Manager, East Malaysia

About the role

Our client is seeking a highly driven Sales Manager to grow revenue through the sale and rental of formwork and construction support systems. This role is responsible for developing long-term customer relationships, identifying new project opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions within a defined territory. The ideal candidate is proactive, consultative, and able to manage the full sales cycle-from prospecting to closing-while maintaining strong industry awareness and meeting commercial targets.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors and buyers, ensuring client requirements are fully understood and addressed. Provide solution-based recommendations and maintain strong, ongoing relationships.
  • Identify new customers and project leads within the assigned region. Maintain an active sales pipeline and prioritize opportunities. Coordinate with management to allocate resources effectively toward high-value prospects.
  • Prepare cost estimates and proposals based on company pricing frameworks. Develop persuasive presentations and demonstrate how proposed solutions deliver optimal project outcomes. Address client concerns and validate the value proposition.
  • Finalize sales agreements using standard contract templates. Submit accurate documentation for order processing and internal review.
  • Work closely with internal support teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely fulfillment. Assist in resolving account issues and support efforts to maintain healthy receivables.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, new technologies, and competitor activities. Recommend strategies to expand business within existing and new accounts.
  • Participate in training programs, attend industry events and trade shows, and support special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in construction sales, formwork systems, or related technical solutions is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient with computer applications and comfortable using sales management tools.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and professional integrity.
  • Comfortable presenting to individuals and groups in a clear, confident manner.
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Willingness to travel as required within the assigned territory.
