Technical Business Development Specialist

Job description

My client is a pioneer in civil engineering solutions. With a global presence, it specializes in sustainable, innovative solutions for soil reinforcement, hydraulic works, and environmental construction, emphasizing green technology and long-lasting impact.


Responsibility:
Business Development

  • Nurture and grow sales via lead conversion, trade show contacts, and canvassing lead generation.
  • Support business development strategy according to organizational objectives.
  • Responsible for economic/ financial results of the assigned sector, through coordination with the sales structures.
  • Responsible for the specialized sector's portfolio, including promotional activities.

Business Product

  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
  • Present and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Writing business proposals.

Business relationship

  • Establish, develop and retain relationship with Government authorities, developers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Develop and execute a lead to customer cycle that allows exceeding sales and revenue target, through pipeline management.
  • Develop client portfolio to expand targeted business growth.

Campaigns and activities

  • Develop and execute business development activities, in coordination with the sales and commercial team. This includes activities to enhance the awareness of Maccaferri hydraulics solution in the local industry.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in hydraulic works whether in consultant, contractor, supplier or government authority capacity.
  • Possess technical knowledge in erosion control, hydraulic and hydrology, flood mitigation and urban stormwater management.
  • Broad commercial experience in the local market.
  • Possess good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, mature, and highly initiative to work independently.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
