A leading service provider multinational corporation. With a 50 billion USD worldwide market, it is looking to expand its Malaysia shared services center and hire Senior Buyer/ Procurement Analyst (Japanese Speaker) talents. There are junior up to senior positions available across accounting divisions.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to regional purchasing teams, focusing on regional initiatives.
  • Implement and execute new procurement processes, ensuring compliance with global, regional, and local policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and manage quality control and cost management efforts.
  • Track and report on overall performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) post-implementation of new initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and gather periodic feedback.
  • Apply legal frameworks to complex procurement and contracting activities, balancing risk of non-compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Understand and align with DPDHL, divisional, and procurement strategies.
  • Possess industry-specific knowledge across several procurement categories.
  • Handle escalations using a pre-defined matrix communications tool.
  • Popose and having continuous process improvement mindset benefiting the pillar
  • Lead Business Review Meetings (BRM) for the assigned countries.
  • Maintain the e-purchasing system, including master data and e-catalog content.
  • Develop close relationships with business units and procurement categories to stay updated on current and future internal demands.



Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles, with a strong understanding of international procurement best practices, at least 5-7 years in related roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role with direct responsibility for managing and developing teams.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools for efficient PR/PO management (SAP - MM, Ariba/Catelog System).
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain positive supplier relationships.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in procurement.
