Tax Specialist

About your company

This company is located at Telok Panglima Garang, they are looking for a Tax Specialist to join their finance team. You will be reporting to the Finance Controller.

About your role

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax computations, returns (including provisional and deferred tax), and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax regulations.
• Support the Manager/Financial Controller in tax planning, advisory work, and identifying tax-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
• Conduct research on tax laws and monitor legislative changes to ensure accurate filings and provide advice on potential business impacts.
• Manage taxation payments, expatriate tax matters, handle audits/investigations, liaise with authorities, and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
• Work with other departments for accurate reporting and perform additional ad-hoc task.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy of professional accounting qualifications like ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Minimun 3-4 years of experience in tax, preferably from an accounting firm or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia Tax laws and regulations.
• Good internal & external stakeholders management skills in a fast-paced environment
