Sr Regulatory Specialist (Team Lead)

Summary:

We are seeking a Supervisor, Hazard Communication/ Regulatory Specialist/ Product Safety and Stewardship to lead a team managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemicals used in hospitality, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and wastewater treatment. The role oversees chemical registration, label reviews, and regulatory documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance across 14 APAC countries.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of 3-5 specialists in preparing and maintaining SDS documentation.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of hazard communication materials across APAC markets.
• Oversee chemical registration, label reviews, and documentation updates following GHS and local regulations.
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to standardize processes and improve documentation efficiency.
• Track team performance, ensure on-time project delivery, and uphold quality standards.

Requirements:

1. Proven managerial or supervisory experience (minimum 2-3 direct reports) or strong interest in people leadership. Open to senior specialist with guiding junior experience.
2. Hands-on experience with SAP systems, preferably SAP EHS.
3. Strong understanding of Regulatory Affairs and APAC compliance standards.
4. Experience in creating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or working knowledge of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS).
5. Exposure to raw material approval, dangerous goods classification, or regulatory background checks within shared service centers (SSC).
6. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across regional and cross-functional teams.
7. Continuous improvement mindset with focus on process optimization and documentation efficiency.
8. Lab or technical experience related to SDS usage and chemical handling is an advantage.
