Sr Manager, Customer Quality Assurance
Job description
Our client is a rapidly expanding semiconductor company in Penang. Due to expansion, they are looking to hire a Sr Customer Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure prompt resolution of identified problems, including emergency actions and containment measures.
- Lead problem-solving teams and Fast Response System, ensuring compliance with customer response time requirements.
- Facilitate the problem-solving process for non-conforming products and perform process capability studies.
- Participate in the modification of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and ensure timely communication with customers on escalated issues.
- Exercise authority to halt processes or product delivery in case of non-conformance.
- Ensure alignment with organizational requirements for quality management, safety, and environmental standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coordination abilities.
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques, including Six Sigma Black Belt certification would be an added plus.
- Proficient with practical problem-solving methods such as the 8D methodology and assembly processes.
- Experience with relevant manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Knowledgeable in quality tools and process control methods, including FMEA, MSA, SPC, and DOE/Taguchi.
- At least 10 years of industry experience, preferably in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting.
- Expertise in manufacturing and product quality management, Six Sigma, SPC, and ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or a related technical field.
- Advanced degree in Engineering/Science, Six Sigma Black Belt, and an MBA are preferred.
