Senior Transport Operations Manager (Johor)

Join an established logistics and cross-border transport service provider with strong presence in Johor-Singapore and regional ASEAN corridors. Due to business expansion, they are seeking a hands-on Senior Operations Manager to lead and scale their Johor trucking operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch, routing and truck allocation for Singapore and ASEAN cross-border operations.

• Manage operational exceptions including customs delays, congestion, and breakdown recovery.

• Lead and optimize a large-sized fleet, ensuring high availability and utilization.

• Take ownership of fleet maintenance planning, driver performance, fuel consumption and operating costs.

• Manage and coach drivers to ensure compliance with safety standards and cross-border regulations.

• Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per trip, fleet utilization and turnaround time.

• Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve overall cost-to-serve.

• Act as escalation point for service issues and support continuous operational improvement.

• Collaborate closely with customers in Johor, Singapore and regional stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in trucking / cross-border transport operations.

• Proven experience managing medium to large fleets.

• Strong knowledge of cross-border trucking operations within ASEAN countries.

• Experience handling high-frequency cross-border transport preferred.

• Familiarity with TMS, GPS tracking and fleet management systems.
