About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Project Sales Manager to lead and grow their decorative and flooring coating solutions business across Malaysia and Singapore. This leadership role is responsible for driving project sales performance, expanding market presence, and developing a high-performing project sales team. You will play a key role in promoting innovative solutions to contractors, developers, consultants, and specifiers, while delivering sustainable revenue growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the decorative projects sales team across Malaysia and Singapore, ensuring clear goals, strong engagement, and consistent performance.

  • Drive the introduction and market adoption of new and enhanced project solutions, including decorative and flooring systems.

  • Manage and monitor the national project sales pipeline, ensuring disciplined follow-up and high conversion rates.

  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key stakeholders such as main contractors, developers, architects, consultants, and specifiers through specification support and joint customer engagements.

  • Represent the business at regional project meetings, customer forums, and industry events.

  • Plan, track, and deliver sales targets, collections, and DSO in line with business objectives.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, monthly sales meetings, KPI monitoring, and annual appraisals for the team.

  • Collaborate closely with regional and local marketing teams on product launches, training programs, exhibitions, brand-building initiatives, and promotional activities.

  • Oversee technical support and colour advisory services to ensure timely site support, compliance with specifications, and customer satisfaction.

  • Identify emerging market trends and new business opportunities to strengthen positioning in the projects segment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 7-9 years of experience in the building materials, construction, or related industries.

  • Proven experience leading and developing a sales or project-based team.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive growth and manage financial performance.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience engaging contractors, developers, consultants, and specifiers.

  • Structured, methodical, and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound commercial judgment.

  • Clear, confident, and persuasive communicator with strong presentation skills.

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
