Senior Manager, Financial Risk Management
Job description
Our Client
A reputable financial services provider is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Risk Management to collaborate with all business functions to ensure all elements of risks are properly identified, assessed, mitigated and reported under risk and control assessment programme.
About the Role
- Review assigned KRI via BNM ORION reporting on a monthly basis as well internal KRI set by the company
- Review risk/loss event database and its associated follow up work for remediation; identify root cause and report to BNM and Group as required
- Review and update the RMF based on the BNM guidelines and group policies, incorporating feedback of Board and Management - this includes establishment of risk appetite, risk limits and review of the existing KRI and thresholds
- Manage outsourcing risk management programme, product risk assessment checklist, business case, new projects and implementations
- Report all relevant materials and papers on timely basis highlighting key risks, mitigating controls for EXCO, Group Risk, Local Risk Management Committees, Board Risk Committees and/or Board
- Create a positive risk-based culture, where a robust risk assessment process is embedded that business units implement proactively
- Coordinate risk management education and awareness such as to educate all employees on risk management process and principles on a continuous and regular basis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or any other relevant discipline(s)
- Minimum 10-12 yeas' relevant experience in the financial services preferably in the asset management industry handling risk management, internal audit, financial controls or compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
