Senior Business Analyst (Banking)

Job description

The position serves as a key liaison between the business and IT departments. The Business Analyst will operate autonomously, displaying adaptability to consult with the business at various levels. They must establish strong relationships with all delivery partners and Global Functions. The Business Analyst will actively participate in multiple initiatives, assuming a leadership role in larger projects and overseeing all analytical activities.

Responsibilities:

* Foresees and manages stakeholder expectations, promoting transparent and candid communication; resolves stakeholder conflicts

* Challenges the current state and facilitates stakeholders in identifying improvement opportunities * Expresses or interprets complex information in a clear, meaningful, and organized manner tailored to the audience * Proficiently handles multiple projects or programs simultaneously, guiding teams and conducting necessary business research and analysis tasks.

* Assists the business and functions in evaluating the current operating model and transforming the strategy into target operating models

* Applies financial expertise to develop a preliminary business case, considering investments and high-level benefits

* Designs intricate, large-scale change solutions, outlining all aspects of the change journey and impacts on the audience

* Leads change implementation efforts, manages process re-engineering, and provides detailed guidance on process design.

* Manages a diverse and collaborative cross-functional team, endorsing initiatives that foster team engagement, learning, and collaboration to foster a sense of community

* Cultivates a competitive environment to establish high standards, encourages and supports continuous improvements within the team

* Establishes a network of professional relationships to enhance collaborative work beyond their own business areas

* Assists the PMO and Consulting Leadership team in managing supply and scheduling resources.

Requirements:

Senior Business Analysts must possess extensive business knowledge and demonstrate a keen business acumen, keeping themselves updated on industry trends and technological advancements.

* Senior Business Analysts often have to gather requirements and reach consensus among stakeholders, managing diverse interests, resolving conflicts, and occasionally challenging inadequate requirements and design decisions. They frequently lead and participate in meetings or workshops without direct Global Transformation supervision.

* Senior Business Analysts need to shape comprehensive business requirements and solution designs that encompass all delivery aspects (customer, people, process, policy, technology - system, data, infrastructure, etc.). They often work on multiple projects concurrently.

* In-depth understanding of Business Transformation Frameworks, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and best practices.

* Thorough comprehension of the purpose, values, culture, and fundamentals of Global Transformation. * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

* Adaptability to function in a non-structured environment and introduce structure as needed. * Extensive knowledge of the external environment, including regulations, political landscape, competitors, etc.

* Proficiency in re-engineering, advanced business analysis, requirements gathering, and design techniques. * Advanced expertise in change management and implementation approaches.

* Skill in navigating uncertainty and managing changing circumstances, such as interdependencies, opportunities, or risks.

* Expertise in Business Transformation Frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.

* Comprehensive understanding of the purpose, values, culture, and fundamentals of Global Transformation.

* Proven ability to work independently.

* Capability to thrive in a non-structured environment and establish structure when necessary.

* Outstanding track record as an analyst or consultant.

* Extensive knowledge of the overall financial services industry with specific functional expertise. * Vast experience in utilizing various analysis techniques within change environments, including business, operations, and technology-focused projects.

* Capability to make strategic decisions and operate at an executive level.

* Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) - desirable.

* Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt certification is advantageous.

* Embracement of agile ways of working and flexibility, with a high level of professionalism and conduct.

* Solid experience in Change and Implementation (C&I) processes, including planning and implementing change interventions for smooth transitions and embedding changes into business as usual, from requirements gathering to user training.

* Experience with transformation changes Design & Initiation (D&I) is advantageous.

* Ability to manage and execute projects in an agile and flexible manner, ensuring exceptional quality from a project execution perspective.

* Capability to multitask and potentially handle multiple initiatives and/or projects simultaneously.
