Senior Actuarial Analyst (General Insurance)

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual and quarterly assessments of general insurance liabilities following standard actuarial principles and local/group regulations.
• Compile the Financial Condition Report (FCR).
• Work with the Finance team for annual planning and ongoing Full Year Forecast activities.
• Conduct stress tests and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) in line with internal and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) directives.
• Assist in implementing IFRS17 standards.
• Offer suggestions on distributing surplus to participants and shareholders.
• Spot significant trends in portfolio performance and advise the business accordingly.
• Conduct independent assessments of product pricing.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics.
• Demonstrated progress in exams from a globally recognized actuarial association.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Capable of effectively managing various stakeholders within the organization and liaising with contacts at regional or head office levels.
• Exhibit a diligent and professional approach to ensuring regulatory submissions comply, with a keen focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal abilities are essential.
• Ability to effectively manage and adhere to deadlines while working well under pressure.
