About Our Client:
Our client is a large, globally established manufacturing group specialising in the design, production, and distribution of power tools, outdoor equipment, and related products.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
Maintain accurate general ledger and supporting schedules.
Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overheads.
Support product costing, margin analysis, and variance analysis.
Work closely with operations and production teams to improve cost efficiency and controls.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Track budget versus actual performance and explain variances to management.
Support cash flow planning and working capital management.
Prepare and coordinate tax computations, submissions, and payments (corporate tax, SST/GST where applicable).
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulators.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent) is preferred.
Minimum 4-6 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience in costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Strong technical accounting and financial analysis skills.
Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures and inventory accounting.
Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
