Regional Project Manager (Retail F&B)

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:

    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects within the SEA region, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
    • Coordinate with regional and global IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications with stakeholders, including regional leadership, store managers, and IT teams.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure project objectives and deliverables meet business requirements.
    • Facilitate regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Regional Coordination:

    • Oversee the implementation of IT systems across multiple countries within the SEA region, ensuring consistency and compliance with local regulations.
    • Adapt global IT strategies to meet the specific needs and challenges of the SEA market.
    • Manage relationships with local vendors and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effective solutions.
  • Technology Implementation:

    • Oversee the deployment of retail and F&B-specific IT solutions, including POS systems, inventory management, CRM systems, and digital payment platforms.
    • Ensure that all IT systems are integrated effectively and align with overall business strategies.
    • Monitor the performance of implemented systems and manage any necessary upgrades or improvements.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
    • Manage project changes and ensure that all risks are documented, communicated, and resolved efficiently.
  • Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all financial targets are met and reported.
    • Monitor project expenditures and adjust budgets as necessary to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor a team of IT project managers, coordinators, and technical staff.
    • Promote a collaborative and results-driven environment within the project teams.
    • Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 7-10 years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years in the retail and/or F&B industry.
    • Proven experience managing regional or multi-country IT projects within Southeast Asia.
    • Experience with IT project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, SAP).
  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of IT systems relevant to the retail and F&B sectors, including POS systems, ERP, CRM, and digital payment platforms.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects across different countries simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of local regulatory requirements in the SEA region.
