R&D Chemist

My client who is a global food manufacturer is currently looking for a Research & Development Chemist to join their team in Selangor.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Formulation and Sample Preparation: Conducting research and development projects related to food products, including formulating new recipes and preparing samples.
2. Product Innovation: Initiating efforts to create innovative food products that meet market demands and align with the company's goals.
3. Documentation and Work Instructions: Establishing, maintaining, and updating work instructions, including analysis methods, specifications (such as recipes, ingredients lists, and nutritional facts), and project-related documents.
4. Prototype Development: Overseeing the preparation of prototypes or samples and determining process specifications in the laboratory.
5. Product Optimization: Continuously improving and revising existing product formulations and processes to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
6. Raw Material Selection and Quality Control: Ensuring the selection and quality control of raw materials used in food products.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Food Technology or equivalents.
• At least 1 year experience in Research & Development in food industry.
• Experienced in Halal Food Products Development is added advantage
• Knowledge in HACCP, ISO 22000 & FSSC 22000.
