Quality Engineer

Our client is a leading electronics manufacturer in Malacca. They are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures, including the inspection and testing of electronic components to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues, defects, or non-conformities and develop effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Mandarin Language Proficiency: Act as a key liaison between our international partners, suppliers, and internal teams, utilizing your Mandarin language skills to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of quality control processes, inspection results, and any deviations or issues encountered.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data, identifying trends, and recommending process enhancements to minimize defects and improve product quality.
• Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Training: Conduct training sessions for team members and suppliers to enhance quality awareness and adherence to quality control procedures.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all quality control processes and procedures comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in the electronics manufacturing industry, with a strong background in automotive components preferred.
• Proficiency in English language, both spoken and written, to facilitate effective communication with international partners and team members. (Mandarin proficiency will be an added benefit).
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and statistical techniques.
• Familiarity with automotive quality standards and requirements, such as ISO/TS 16949, is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective CAPA.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of electronics testing equipment and software is an advantage.
