Quality Director

Job description

Our client is a rapidly expanding Semicnoductor company with a global footprint. Due to their expanding operations, they are currently seeking for a Quality Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take on the responsibility for advancing manufacturing quality and enhancing customer quality standards
  • Offer guidance and leadership to the quality team
  • Formulate and implement strategic plans for the business unit, department, or specific functional areas to attain crucial business goals
  • Lead and oversee the operations of one or more functional departments, actively engaging in matters concerning customer and supplier quality as necessary
  • Ensure the fulfilment of customer expectations regarding product quality, responsiveness, and services, actively engaging with key customers to ensure their satisfaction
  • Present a clear and well-articulated vision, along with strategies and plans aimed at continuous enhancement of product and service quality for customers
  • Develop and reinforce the Quality organization while managing overall business requirements
  • Define roles and responsibilities necessary to achieve goals in manufacturing lines and customer support
  • Coordinate quality control inspections, tests, Root-cause analysis (RCA), and corrective procedures across the organization
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of the specific segment or function, coupled with business and commercial expertise, to create a distinctive edge over competitors
  • Assess primary business obstacles and oversee the creation of innovative solutions
  • Identify, cultivate, mentor, and retain exceptional talent within the organization

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent field, accompanied by a minimum of 15 years of experience within the semiconductor industry
  • Proficiency in semiconductor processes, defects, and yield, as well as familiarity with the process steps involved in constructing various layers and structures
  • Extensive and thorough comprehension of diverse systems, theories, and practices
  • Skill in influencing and negotiating with C-level management
