Quality Director

Job description

Our client is a MNC. Due to rapid expansion, they are seeking a Quality Director.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the company's quality management system, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Lead and manage the quality assurance and quality control teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to ensure high performance and achievement of quality goals.
  • Establish and maintain quality policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with relevant regulations and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
  • Drive a culture of quality throughout the organization, promoting awareness and understanding of quality requirements among all departments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of processes, products, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Root Cause Analysis, to enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and track quality performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Manage relationships with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related matters, including product specifications, audits, and quality agreements.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in quality management systems and tools.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in quality assurance and quality control roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the semiconductor or high-tech industry.
  • Proven track record of leading successful quality programs, driving process improvements, and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, SPC).
  • Experience with quality system certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, RoHS, REACH).
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within established timelines.
