Production Manager

This global semiconductor company in Melaka is seeking a Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning and Scheduling:
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing lead times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of production schedules with overall business objectives.
• Quality Management:
  • Enforce and uphold IATF 16949 automotive quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure the production of defect-free semiconductor components.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the production team.
• Process Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains, implementing best practices to enhance overall manufacturing performance.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes for quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Supply Chain Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the production environment.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols to create a secure and accident-free workplace.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience in semiconductor manufacturing, with a strong understanding of IATF 16949 automotive standards.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
