Production Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate work schedules for shift supervisors, material handlers, and operators
• Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of all injection molding machines in the facility
• Identify and resolve issues related to molds and injection parts; assist with troubleshooting other production equipment when required
• Service, maintain, and perform minor repairs on molds; document all mold repairs and part replacements accurately
• Manage spare parts and inserts inventory for each mold; coordinate with vendors for repairs with supervisor's approval
• Carry out color and material changes for production as needed
• Perform monthly calibration of Master Batch dosing systems
• Maintain updated drawings and documentation for molds, hot runners, and related components
• Train Material Handlers on correct injection machine operations
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of machine parameter settings
• Act as shift supervisor during absences or leave cover
• Remain flexible to adapt to any role changes or additional responsibilities to meet business or organizational needs

Key Requirements

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a injection molding manufacturing environment
• Solid understanding of injection molding machine operations and mold servicing
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mold and injection part issues
• Ability to carry out minor mold repairs and recommend necessary part replacements
• Experience with production planning and workforce scheduling
• Competence in training operators and material handlers on machine operation
• Good record-keeping skills for maintenance logs and machine parameter data
