Product Marketing Manager - Industrial/Retail Hardware

About the role
Our client, a global leader in security and access solutions, is seeking a commercially minded and retail-focused Product Marketing Manager to drive growth across their product portfolio. This role focuses on developing and executing marketing strategies targeted at channel partners, including hardware stores, retailers, and distributors (both large and independent). You will be responsible for end-to-end product marketing, from positioning and pricing to channel engagement, while ensuring strong market visibility and sales performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement product marketing strategies to grow sales through retail and channel partners.

  • Manage the full product lifecycle, including portfolio planning, positioning, pricing, and promotional activities.

  • Build strong relationships with distributors, hardware chains, and independent retailers to strengthen market presence.

  • Design and execute channel-specific marketing campaigns, trade promotions, and retail engagement programs.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and commercial objectives.

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities within the retail segment.

  • Deliver training, product knowledge sessions, and sales tools to support channel partners and internal teams.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on product performance, sales growth, and ROI of marketing activities.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline.

  • At least 5-7 years' experience in product marketing, trade marketing, or channel management within the retail or building materials industry.

  • Proven success in managing products through retail and distribution networks.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.

  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with experience working closely with channel partners.

  • Creative, analytical, and hands-on, with the ability to execute both strategy and day-to-day activities.

  • Willingness to travel locally to meet with retail and distribution partners.
