About Our Client

Our client is a leading manufacturing company that is seeking for supply chain professionals to apply to the role of Manager/Assistant Manager in Procurement

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute purchasing strategy and plans for identified category of purchase to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality supply and suppliers
  • Continuously improve the purchasing processes, policies and procedures for identified area of responsibility to meet both internal and external customer needs
  • Ensure effective negotiations and contracting of identified category of purchase in the best interest of the company
  • Adhere to all company procedures & policy
  • Maintain proper records of purchases, quotations/sources, approved vendor database up to date
  • Identify and drive cost improvement initiatives to optimize cost of identified category of purchase
  • Provide market information and other identified requirements for the purpose of reporting and analysis to aid business decision-making

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, finance, economics, business administration or relevant field of study
  • Fluent in English and Malay, Mandarin will be an added advantage
  • Lean Six Sigma certifications will be an added advantage
  • More than 6 years in procurement functions, with strong stakeholder management
  • Relevant technical background is an advantage for the purchase of items or services which require some degree of technical knowledge
  • Application is open to Malaysians and/or candidates with existing right to employment in Malaysia
