Process Engineer (Assembly/Test)
Job description
Our client is a rapidly expanding semiconductor MNC in Selangor. They are looking for a Process Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the handling of abnormal lots, determining failure analysis methods, analyzing results, and making judgments. This includes establishing effective communication with customers regarding lot progress to mitigate quality risks for shipments.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving process productivity and efficiency.
- Lead the manufacturing team in conducting internal and external audits, responding to relevant departments, and coordinating with other departments for issue resolution.
- Establish, enhance, and uphold manufacturing operational standards of operation (SOPs) to reduce or eliminate operational variations across shifts for improved and stable manufacturing capabilities.
- Oversee Low Volume Manufacturing (LVM) for any new changes introduced to the manufacturing line, including preparations for initial implementation to manage risks related to quality and manufacturability of newly introduced items.
- Improve and maintain Process Flow, Control Plans, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), incorporating inputs from risk management, improvement activities, claims, audit findings, and internal processes.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Hold a Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electronics/Manufacturing/Materials) or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in semiconductor processes within manufacturing/production, preferably in Test/Assembly processes.
- Experience in transitioning a product from Low Volume to High Volume production.
- Possess a solid understanding of semiconductor assembly/test processes and familiarity with IATF 16949 requirements.
- Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO/TS standards.
- A team player with strong analytical skills, adept at problem-solving in Statistical Process Control (SPC), data analysis, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of confidently presenting ideas, concepts, data, and plans in team meetings and executive reviews.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and evolving tasks.
