Planning Manager

My client is an Industrial Construction company, based in Penang. They are looking for a Planning Manager due to rapid expansion.

They are in need of an experienced Planning Manager who will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules to ensure efficient resource usage, timely completion, and alignment with project goals. This position demands a meticulous professional with advanced planning and scheduling abilities, along with a profound comprehension of project management principles within the industrial construction domain. The following job description highlights the primary responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and supervise project schedules to ensure effective project execution and timely completion within budgetary limits.
• Create comprehensive project schedules, timelines, and plans in coordination with project managers and stakeholders.
• Evaluate resource needs and allocate resources efficiently to attain project milestones and goals.
• Monitor project advancement, track key performance indicators, and analyze deviations from planned schedules.
• Identify potential risks or delays and suggest mitigation strategies to uphold project timelines.
• Communicate schedule updates, modifications, and potential impacts to project stakeholders clearly and promptly.
• Regularly update schedules to encompass scope changes, recent progress, and delivery details.
• Continuously review and enhance project schedules for accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate with teams to proactively manage risks and uphold project schedule integrity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Project Management or equivalent.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, particularly in construction and engineering projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera software.
• Highly motivated individual with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Profound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to anticipate and address scheduling issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
