Payroll Specialist (MNC/SSC)

A leading manufacturing multinational corporation. With a 80 billion USD worldwide market, it is looking to expand its Malaysia shared services center and hire Payroll Specialist talents. There are junior up to senior positions available across the function.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure data quality and data integrity for Payroll and HR data maintenance processes.
  • Manage full payroll portfolio (either in-house or via vendors) accurately, timely and in compliance with statutory requirements, business policies and company guidelines.
  • Responsible for payroll issues resolutions, data analysis, payroll accounting activities, payroll taxation and legislation administration.
  • Provides solutions to manage time and attendance processes for office and production workers, including the maintenance of time system configurations, time settings such as public holiday calendar maintenance, work schedules arrangements, time calculation rules etc.
  • Provide actual payroll and compensation data based on SAPHR to the Compensation & Benefits and Mobility teams in support of the salary review management. Develop expertise in International labor and social standards and support relevant internal/external audit analysis (for example: Corporate Audits, external audits, FRC processes)
  • Responsible for vendor management for Payroll, which includes service provider scouting, selection, negotiation, contract management, onboarding, performance monitoring and vendor invoice processing.
  • Accountable to ensure finance processes with relevance to payroll is followed through with high accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide advisory such as manual payment calculation, pay slip simulation, gross up computations for payment, national service claims etc.
  • Analyze, clarify, and resolve operation issues and enquiries with close collaboration with relevant Country HR and Regional HR Business Partners
  • Drive initiatives which contribute to the improvement of service experience, continuous improvement projects



Requirement

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications: Degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Commerce or Business Administration
  • Candidates with at least 1 years of experience in SAP, Oracle system will be prioritised.
  • With minimum 3 years of related HR working experiences in Payroll and HR Operations.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Specific entities encourage language speakers to apply, e.g. Mandarin, Japanese speakers, Korean or any European Language Speakers.
