Operational Risk Manager

My client is a trusted partner globally, providing reliable and innovative asset servicing solutions for institutional and corporate clients with a comprehensive range of financial services. As expansion of the center of excellence in Malaysia takes place, they are looking for passionate operational risk manager to oversee the risk and control governance of BAU activities.

Job Description:

  • Conduct control testing to verify the effectiveness of implemented controls.
  • Evaluate both the design and operational effectiveness of processes.
  • Ensure the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) is updated promptly and reviewed regularly.
  • Analyze internal and external errors to identify recurring or isolated issues for targeted training.
  • Maintain a robust operating environment by monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRI).
  • Document all processes thoroughly, review them periodically, and update them promptly as changes occur.
  • Govern the training and competency assessment framework to ensure the team maintains an acceptable competency level.


  • Degree in relavant field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years of experience in stakeholder management in Securities Operations/Financial Services
  • Has exposure to operational risk framework
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and country specific accounting standards) would be an advantage
