Manufacturing Manager

Our client is a rapidly expanding Electronics MNC in Johor Bahru. They are seeking a Manufacturing Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Manufacturing Operations: Direct and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production targets and customer demand. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of the full processes flow and regulations, including production operations, EHS/Facilities Maintenance, and Warehouse & Logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce cycle times, improve product quality, and increase overall operational efficiency. Leverage expertise in process flow and regulations to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement across all facets of manufacturing.
• Ensure Quality Standards: Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to uphold the company's reputation for delivering high-quality products. Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any quality issues and drive corrective actions, drawing on extensive knowledge of quality and food safety practices.
• Manage Production Budget: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective production methods. Apply financial acumen alongside operational expertise to maximize the effectiveness of production expenditures.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing team, including supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning, utilizing strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales to support new product introductions, resolve production challenges, and ensure timely delivery of customer orders. Utilize cross-functional knowledge to streamline processes and enhance collaboration.
• Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Implement and enforce best practices for workplace safety and maintain a clean and organized manufacturing facility, drawing on expertise in EHS/Facilities Maintenance.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements, cost reductions, and operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
• Experience working in the electronics or semiconductor industry is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, MES) is a plus.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
