Overview

We are hiring on behalf of a leading renewable energy solutions provider specializing in solar energy development, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), and asset management. The company works closely with commercial, industrial, and government clients to deliver end-to-end clean energy solutions that drive cost savings and sustainability outcomes.

They are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth across key market segments. This role will focus on expanding the company's solar project pipeline, building strong client relationships, and leading a team to achieve ambitious sales and business development targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive solar project sales and achieve revenue targets.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within commercial, industrial, and utility-scale segments.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, and partners.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to proposal, negotiation, and project award.

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales or business development professionals to achieve performance targets.

  • Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals aligned with client requirements.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project, and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities.

  • Develop and manage sales forecasts, pipelines, and budgets to ensure accurate business planning.

  • Represent the company at industry events, networking sessions, and client meetings to strengthen market presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the solar or renewable energy industry, with a strong focus on B2B sales.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

  • Proven track record in business development and closing solar or energy-related projects.

  • Strong understanding of solar EPC, project development, and commercial structures is advantageous.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing sales pipelines and forecasts.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.

  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
