Legal Counsel

Job description

This role will be reporting to a Head of Legal based in Malaysia and you will be working closely with prject teams and different functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of matters, including contract negotiation and drafting, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
  • Manage and oversee litigation, disputes, and other legal proceedings involving the company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and assess legal implications of business strategies and initiatives.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments to ensure the company's compliance and proactive risk management.
  • Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance the company's legal framework and operational efficiency.

Job Requiremnts

  • At least 8 years of PQE.
  • Has work in corporate law firm and in house legal experience is required.
  • Qualified and called to the Malaysian bar.
  • Strong communication skills.
