Legal and Industrial Relations Manager

Our client is a well-established manufacturing company operating in a unionized environment, with a strong focus on compliance, workforce stability, and maintaining positive industrial relations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage union relationships and lead collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution.
  • Monitor workforce morale and proactively address potential conflicts.
  • Liaise with government bodies and labor authorities on regulatory matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of agreements, settlements, and legal documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law.
  • Welcome lawyers from legal firms specializing in the FMCG sector or with experience in handling collective agreement (CA) disputes.
  • 8 years of experience in Industrial Relations within manufacturing or similar sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, union practices, and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
