Our client is a business intelligence MNC, built to operate at scale, complete with enterprise -grade data and security controls to combat global cyber threats. At this juncture, they are expanding their team and is seeking for a highly calibre IT professional to join them as a Technical Lead.


  • Designs, codes, tests, correct and documents large and/or complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well‐engineered result (ratio of management tasks to development responsibilities varies depending on project requirements)
  • Takes part in reviews of own work and leads reviews of colleagues' work
  • Leads and manages effectively a highly productive team (typically 4 ‐6 developers) throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Experience in coaching and guiding a team (agile/waterfall) of strong Java developers and working with distributed teams
  • Recognized as the expert and point of contact for at least one key software component, domain or technology
  • Provides project based support to the Build and Configuration Management Engineer to manage software builds
  • Shepherds all development activity through the development lifecycle paying particular care to ensure that all quality processes, gates and controls are followed


  • 6 + years of relevant commercial experience
  • Knowledge : Indepth Knowledge of :
  • JavaEE/Core Java
  • Development methodologies such as Agile (SCRUM), Waterfall (RUP)
  • Use of code management tools such as Perforce/Git/SVN/TFS
  • Defect management/review tools such as Jira/Crucible, HP Quality center, Rational ClearQuest
  • Software design and architecture
  • Desirable : Indepth knowledge on Hadoop / Big Data


  • Ability to proactively identify risks and raise appropriately
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve defects within agreed time frame
  • Ability to address and resolve issues effectively and efficiently when raised by less experienced colleagues
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to junior team members
  • Ability to guide and provide technical directions to the team
  • Ability to define and enforce best practices on technical processes and communicate these to the team
