About Our Client

Our client is an international brand known for its affordable yet quality products within the retail industry. They are seeking for a HRBP - Retail to join their team to support retail manpower planning, strategic recruitment, and employee matters across their retail outlets within Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

    • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
      Lead end‑to‑end retail hiring strategies, including pipeline building, campus partnerships, quality standards, cost control, and compliance.

    • Talent, Succession & Capability Development
      Identify high‑potential retail talent, drive succession planning for key roles, and ensure structured development and readiness through targeted training.

    • Performance & Productivity Management
      Drive a performance‑based culture by setting clear KRAs, monitoring store productivity and remuneration costs, and implementing reward and recognition programs.

    • Employee Engagement & Retention
      Act as a trusted HR partner to retail employees, strengthening engagement, leadership connectivity, and retention through structured initiatives and two‑way communication.

    • HR Operations, Policy & Compliance
      Ensure consistent application of HR policies, labour law compliance, payroll accuracy, and effective people governance across retail operations.

    • Stakeholder Partnership & Industrial Relations
      Partner closely with retail leadership to manage employee relations, resolve issues proactively, support change initiatives, and maintain a positive employee climate.

Requirements

  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Administration, or similar.
  • Comes with at least 5 years of experience in a HRBP or similar capacity, with strengths in retail recruitment, HR policies & compliance, as well as strong stakeholder management.
  • Prior experience in retail industry (experience within Footwear / Apparel is an added advantage).
  • Strong communication proficiency in both English and Malay.
