A leading multinational corporation. With a multi billion USD worldwide market, it is looking to expand its Malaysia shared services center and hire Head of Planning, APAC talents. There are junior up to senior positions available across the planning function.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical system rollout and provide support to regional teams during implementation.
- Guide and mentor a team of demand planners, fostering their growth and ensuring their success in achieving planning excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement and strengthen capabilities for both teams and systems by coaching stakeholders in the Marketing teams.
- Optimize the end-to-end central planning process by establishing standardized global demand planning practices with category owners.
- Implement performance management, tracking global category forecast accuracy, bias, and forecast value-add steps.
- Conduct training and capability-building initiatives for category owners and the Marketing team, ensuring alignment through a joint planning change management strategy.
- Establish and promote global best practices with category owners and Marketing stakeholders (e.g., standardized consensus demand reviews, clear cross-team communication plans).
- Utilize deep knowledge of the company's brands and market insights to produce reliable consensus demand forecasts.
- Leverage expertise in the company's operations and existing networks to foster cross-functional alignment and collaboration.
- Apply demand planning and sales forecasting expertise to actively contribute to the S&OP and IBP processes.
Requirement
- 10-15 years of experience in Planning, sales planning, commercial, and/or supply chain roles.
- Proven expertise in sales forecasting, planning modeling, planning shaping, and allocation.
- Deep knowledge of the industry, with a strong preference for understanding in-country Commercial & supply chain dynamics.
- Track record of success in developing accurate planning forecasts, incorporating event lift, pricing elasticity, new product launches, retailer insights, and competitive trends.
- Analytical leader who makes data-driven decisions by synthesizing internal and external data (consumer, competitor, market, product, and financial).
- Skilled collaborator, able to influence cross-functional partners, including Commercial Sales, Brand/Marketing, Category Management, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting strategic insights and recommendations to Executive Leadership.
