Head of Operations

Job description

Our client is a well-established global manufacturer within the electronics/EMS industry, currently seeking a Site Director to take full command of their operations. This is a critical leadership position for an experienced professional to own the entire site's performance - spanning P&L, production, engineering, quality, materials, facilities, and EHS. As the Number 1 on-site, you will play a strategic role in shaping the next chapter of growth and transformation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the top authority on-site, overseeing all functions including production, engineering, quality, materials, facilities, and EHS.

  • Lead the plant's overall performance in alignment with group-level goals - including full P&L ownership, financial KPIs, and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies to enhance cost control, output, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other manufacturing excellence frameworks.

  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards (local and international).

  • Act as the key liaison between the site and corporate leadership, customers, and supply chain partners.

  • Inspire, coach, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

  • Spearhead digital transformation and sustainability initiatives aligned with the company's global direction.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field; an MBA is a strong advantage.

  • 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in electronics manufacturing, semiconductor, or EMS industry.

  • Proven success in leading an entire plant or manufacturing site with direct P&L accountability.

  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and customer requirements.

  • Strong leadership presence, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and factory automation.

  • A strong track record in managing audits, optimizing cost structures, and driving operational transformation.
