About our client:

This company is a market leader in the bitumen/ashpalt industry with multiple brand presence and partnerships across Malaysia. They are looking to hire a head of finance to be based in Kuching to support the senior management, lead the finance team and work closely with counterparts in Kuala Lumpur.

Your key responsibilities includes:

• Take charge of full set reporting, budgeting, forecasting, FP&A and compliance
• Handle financial projections, monitor performance against budget.
• Ensure alignment of local processes and controllership compliance
• Co‐ordinate with Treasury for local treasury/banking requirements
• Manage and guide a lean team towards excellence
• Support on audits, statutory reporting and tax

The ideal candidate should have:

• At least a bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, and/or professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, etc.)
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance and accounting scope from any industries.
• A proven track record of being a key contributor to the business's commercial value.
• Experience liaising with bankers
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (finance and non-finance)
