Head of BNM Reporting and Analytics

Job Summary:
Support the Appointed Actuary in ensuring the company's long-term financial stability by managing reserves, reviewing financial projections, and adhering to Bank Negara Malaysia's (BNM) Risk-based Capital Framework (RBC) and Group guidelines. Supervise four subordinates.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop robust actuarial valuation processes meeting BNM RBC and Group standards. Validate controls and ensure reserve adequacy.
2. Validate and review business plans, focusing on actuarial aspects like loss ratios and reinsurance optimization.
3. Collaborate with local teams for timely completion of Financial Condition Report.
4. Conduct ad-hoc investigations and analyses as needed. Perform other assigned duties.
5. Provide accurate information to the Group and Regional Office promptly as directed.
6. Ensure consistency in processes and policies for compliance with relevant statutory regulations and Group guidelines for the Actuarial function.

Compliance:

1. Ensure compliance with local regulations, statutory regulations, Company policies, and procedures.
2. Define information security requirements, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and perform risk analysis.
3. Ensure compliance with Data Privacy laws, regulations, and Company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:
- Preferably a degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Insurance, or Risk Management.
- Membership in a recognized Actuarial Institute or Society with progress in professional exams.

Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of actuarial experience, understanding local insurance markets and BNM requirements.

Skills:
- Expert in general insurance liabilities valuation.
- Good understanding of the general insurance industry in the Region.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interrelation skills.
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, multitask, meet deadlines, work independently, and under pressure.
- Motivational skills and interest in leading and developing junior team members.
