Our client is one of the largest local banks in Malaysia. They are currently in search of capable talent to take up the role of Head of Group Project Management to direct and oversee project management.

Responsibility

• Lead and manage Project Management teams to deliver IT projects and programs, identify resources need for project management and software testing
• Build and implement best practices processes and methodologies for project management and software testing for organization
• Supervise the managing and tracking of projects across the organization and change control processes to meet the agreed scope, cost and timeline align with stakeholders' objectives
• Plan goals and deadlines and deliver within the goals through excellent planning and coordination of the team, in line with organization's goals
• Plan, manage and control the department's budget and established methods to enhance services and reduce costs through innovative use of existing resources, expansion of resources and application of new technologies
• Develop the skillsets and knowledge required in the area
• Responsible for recruitment, supervision, staff development plans including mentoring and guidance in managing their respective projects and progress to achieve their career goals, and take corrective actions where necessary
• Produce management reports for IT projects to various Management and Board Committees

Job Requirement

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology, IT, Business or relevant field
• Relevant professional accreditation: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, PRINCE2 Certification, knowledge in Agile Project Management
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project management and systems development lifecycle
• Minimum 10 years of experience in leading and managing Project Management Teams
• Experienced in leading, managing and delivering IT projects/programs
• Proficient in people management skills, able to lead and motivate teams
• Adept in technical knowledge in IT technology, architecture and application systems
• Strong interpersonal, communication skills, strong leadership and people development skills, and have strong client management experience
