General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of General Manager, responsible for overseeing all technical departments in the plant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and optimizing production processes, ensuring the highest quality standards, and efficiently maintaining equipment and facilities. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, foster a culture of safety, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management:

   • Develop and implement effective production strategies to meet company goals and objectives.
   • Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
   • Ensure production schedules are met and products are manufactured to the highest standards.

2. Maintenance Oversight:

   • Lead the maintenance department in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
   • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
   • Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules.

3. Team Leadership:

   • Provide strong leadership to both the Production and Maintenance teams, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven work culture.
   • Recruit, train, and mentor staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
   • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

4. Health and Safety Compliance:

   • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
   • Conduct regular safety audits and promote a culture of safety awareness.

5. Budget Management:

   • Develop and manage budgets for the Production and Maintenance departments.
   • Monitor and control expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness.

6. Continuous Improvement:

   • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
   • Implement best practices and innovative technologies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

7. Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and timely product delivery.
   • Work closely with the senior management team to align production and maintenance strategies with overall business objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the building materials manufacturing industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of production processes and maintenance practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
